I have compiled a list of all the properties on the US Monopoly board in this article. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with them; you may likely learn something that might help with your plans to conquer. 

On the US Monopoly board, there are a total of 22 properties. Below I have created an easy-to-read table that lists them all with their respective prices.

Light Blue Properties

Unlike the Brown properties, the Light Blue color set has 3 properties on the US Monopoly board.

Monopoly Properties That Can’t Be Built On

Surprisingly, there are spaces on the Monopoly board that players can’t build on. Are you surprised? These properties can’t have houses or hotels built on them. And they are only six in number.

Railroads

  • Reading Railroad
  • Pennsylvania Railroad
  • B&O Railroad
  • Short Line

Utilities

  • Electric Company
  • Water Works

These are the other two properties aside from the railroads that players can’t build on in Monopoly.

The Cheapest Monopoly Properties

The cheapest properties in Monopoly are on the Brown color set. On the US edition of the Monopoly board, they are Mediterranean and Baltic Avenue. 

Each of these brown properties costs only $60. Buying houses on them costs only $50. The Brown properties also have the lowest rents on the Monopoly board. Their rents are below

Mediterranean Avenue

  • Rent – Site Only – $2 ( if a player owns all the sites of any color group, rent is doubled.)
  • Rent with 1 house – $10
  • Rent with 2 houses – $30
  • Rent with 3 houses – $90
  • Rent with 4 houses – $160
  • Rent with Hotel – $250

Baltic Avenue 

  • Rent – Site Only – $4 ( if a player owns all the sites of any color group, rent is doubled.)
  • Rent with 1 house – $20
  • Rent with 2 houses – $60
  • Rent with 3 houses – $180
  • Rent with 4 houses – $320
  • Rent with Hotel – $450

You won’t find any property as cheap as the Brown properties on the US Monopoly board.

The Most Expensive Monopoly Properties

Yes! All properties on the Monopoly board do not cost the same. Just like we have just discussed the cheapest properties in Monopoly, some properties are the most expensive.

On the US board, the Dark Blue properties are the most costly. These properties are termed the most expensive because no other property on the Monopoly board costs as much as them.  Find their rents below

This property is on the third space before GO.

The Worst Properties in Monopoly

Formerly I would tell you that the Brown properties are the worst. However, lately, I’ve had a rethink. The Brown properties are not the worst in Monopoly. Actually, there is no direct way to answer this question. It all depends on your play and the deals you can cut.
